ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - CRIME ALERT

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: Unknown suspect came to the victim's door wanting to discuss tree trimming in her backyard. The suspect talked to her for about fifteen minutes while waiting for his partner to arrive. The suspect called his partner on the cell phone and asked if he was close. Two dogs inside had been barking but they were in a secured room. The victim later discovered a pillow case had been taken from the master bedroom but thought it may have been done by the dogs. Two days later she discovered six plastic boxes containing numerous jewelry items were taken from the dresser. The approximate total value is $3000.
