Dead  Hey, things have gotten so dull around here lately, I'm taking it upon myself to shake things up a bit. We're one year away from the next presidential election and AH, along with the rest of the NW suburbs, is overwhelmingly Republican - what is the general feeling there about Ron Paul?

Here in Seattle, where it's overwhelmingly Democratic, everyone I know is backing him, even two former members of the Revolutionary Communist Party! A few months ago, I did'nt think he had a snowball's chance in hell, but the other day his campaign was able to raise over four million dollars in less than 24 hours, beating all the other Republican candidates. There is a huge grassroots movement growing around him, among a very diverse cross section of our society. Where do people back in my home town stand on this guy?

Topcat, let's get Laura Bartell on here, and see where she stands on him. It would be very interesting, because he's throwing a major monkey wrench into the whole Republican apparatus, and they're running scared!

I dont vote republican or democrat, and Ron Paul leaves me very wish washy since he originally ran as a nominee for the Libertarian party some 20 years ago, but still is a faithful republican. I hate party politics, and when push comes to shove what will he really do in office, stand his ground or side with his party? He could be the wolf in sheeps clothing they have been looking for. I do wonder where he really stands on the death penalty, and the ever rising homeless population.

I hate party politics to, mealymouth, but I like this guy - he's a lot more fun than Ralph Nader. Did you see the first Republican debate? LOL He left the lackys of the corporate media  more dumbfounded then I'd ever seen! Totally confused!

Weird. A Republican community fails to respond to questions about one of their own candidates. They're ignoring him the same way Fox News did after he won the first debate.

Ok, so no Republicans will comment on this, let's get some Democrats and Independents.
