What are peoples thoughts on the governments domestic serveillance program and spying on the american people?

The senate has voted to re-authorize the program with a 68 to 29 vote.. The bill would make permanent an earlier measure expanding government authority to eavesdrop on the international telephone calls and email messages of U.S. citizens without warrants while granting immunity to major telecommunications companies that have taken part.

This will work perfectly with H R 1955. And of course H R 1955 works great with all those detention camps the federal government's contracted Haliburton to build. Just think, mealy, all this has been brought about by a guy who was the first person in this country's history to become president by losing an election.

Bro, H.R. 1955 really freaks me out.. And how ppl get appointed to this comission is a little askew. I thought the military comissions act was scarry, look out for this one. Being monitored cause of dissent or dissenting thought, not having the same ideals or being critical of your government? Thats just absurd. Even more absurd is that the government can deem anything as an "extremeist belief system" and can instantly deifine you as a terrorist which can result in you being stripped of your citizenship, and can go as far as resulting in your execution. Any and all dissent and protest could go out the window with this one as well, and will criminalize non-violent civil disobedience. I What is an extremist belief system and who gets to define it?

Not to say what S.1959(the senate bill)will do to the internet and dissedent webpages that  oul dbe deemed as extremist thought..
