If you have a tough topic you're trying to research, you can now make an appointment with a librarian from the Arlington Heights Memorial Library Answer Center (formerly known as the Reference Desk).
The easiest way to do this is to go to
http://www.ahml.info/find_information/ and scroll down to the
Information Specialist Appointments section. You'll be contacted by a librarian to discuss your topic (sometimes we can even deal with it via the phone call) and then an appointment time will be worked out.
What have we helped with? Just a sampling...
- Getting started with your genealogy
- Finding authoritative sources and articles for a paper or research project
- Researching a field or industry as part of a job search
- Locating detailed medical information
- Building a mailing list you can use to help increase your business.
Of course, if you don't quite need a full appointment, you can contact us by chat, IM, text messaging or e-mail right from the "find information" page or by phone (847-506-2633).
